Fort Bragg Crashpad — TDY lodging that feels like home
Looking for a Fort Bragg crashpad? Whether you still call it Fort Bragg or got used to Fort Bragg, this Fayetteville, North Carolina post is the largest Army installation in the country and a constant stream of TDY travelers: SWCS students on multi-month courses, exercise staff, aircrew at Pope Army Airfield and clinicians at Womack. A furnished crashpad at or under the government lodging rate beats a Bragg Boulevard hotel on price, space and sanity.

Why stay in a crashpad near Fort Bragg?
Fort Bragg is home to XVIII Airborne Corps, the 82nd Airborne Division, U.S. Army Special Operations Command, the JFK Special Warfare Center and School and Pope Army Airfield, with roughly 49,000 active-duty soldiers and well over 100,000 family members, retirees and civilians tied to the post. The training tempo never slows: SFQC classes run year-round and keep students in the area for months at a time, the 82nd's Immediate Response Force keeps units rotating through jumps and exercises, and Womack's residency programs pull in medical TDYs. On-post lodging is a set of IHG Army Hotels buildings that fill during course starts and big exercises, and the Fayetteville hotel inventory along Bragg Boulevard and Skibo Road is uneven in quality. A furnished crashpad with a real kitchen, laundry and a quiet bedroom gives long-course students a place to actually live rather than just sleep. Base Crashpads does not have a listed property at Fort Bragg yet, but we are expanding here and want to hear from both travelers and hosts.
