Questions we get about Florida TDYs
Do I have to stay on base when TDY to a base in Florida?
Check government lodging first — if it's full you'll receive a non-availability number and can book commercial lodging up to the locality per diem rate. A Base Crashpads crashpad is priced at or below that rate, so a non-A stay costs you nothing out of pocket.
What is the per diem lodging rate near Eglin AFB?
Rates are set by GSA per locality and change each October; some Florida localities are seasonal. Use our per diem calculator with the base ZIP for the exact monthly figures your DTS authorization will use.
How do crashpads in Florida handle receipts and DTS?
Every stay comes with itemized, DTS-ready receipts (nightly rate, dates, taxes) and we accommodate orders changes and long-course extensions.
